iPad App: A better Web Browser for the iPad – Atomic! - reposted by Andre DiCioccio

Atomic Web Browser for iPad

If you own an iPad, you have quickly found that Safari is definitely not one of the best browsers. It’s clunky, doesn’t display all websites the same, and you have to go out of the page to open a new page.

Enter Atomic Web Browser.

While still a bit on the buggy side, Atomic has one phenominal feature: TABBING. That’s right, TABBING. This is one of my favorite features in IE, Firefox, and Chrome – and now it’s available on my iPad. The premium version let’s you open unlimited tabs, while the free version is limited.

The Atomic web browsers offers more features than just tabbing. It also lets you hide browser functions, such as the title bar, the address bar, and the buttons, which is good for the iPhone version.

Another cool feature is the mobile-website sidestep (that’s what we call it) which tells the website that you’re not mobile and let’s you view the correct website instead of the mobile version – perfect for sites like twitter and most forums. This version is in the premium version and not the free version.

The features don’t stop there. More features include increasing/decreasing the font size of web pages, privacy (stealth) mode, finding text within the web page, viewing source code, basically all the functions that a normal pc browser let’s you do.

That’s awesome.

We did mention that the software is still a bit buggy including locking up on occasion, but very rarely.

The price of this app is awesome – only .99 for the premium version, and also includes the free version. Version 3.0 is due out anytime, just waiting on approval through the iPad App store.
